Este livro vale muito a pena devido ao seu manual dos quatro passos, ao longo do livro é explicado de diversas formas e várias vezes com muitos exemplos como utilizar esses quatro passos, o mindfullness e a terapia cognitivo comportamental para lidar com a doença. O livro chega a ser bastante repetitivo mas isso não tira o seu brilho e sua utilidade, apesar de ser mais adepta da psicanálise acredito que os quatro passos podem ser utilizados para o auto tratamento sem problemas. Esclarecendo que quando eu digo que sou partidária da psicanálise, osou como paciente e não como profissional pois eu não sou da área da saúde.

Gostei bastante do livro, as dicas são bem práticas mas é preciso muita força de vontade. As vezes o livro fica um pouco repetitivo, e boa parte do conteúdo foca em descrever a evolução de pacientes que superaram o TOC, mas nada que desvalorize a leitura. Para quem tem TOC leve é muito bom, para casos mais graves o próprio livro aconselha a realização dos 4 passos com acompanhamento profissional.
