Lindolfo da Silva Meirelles is a stem cell scientist by training, and a curious person by nature. He has received his Master’s degree (Genetics and Molecular Biology) and his Ph.D. in Science from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil. He has been an associate-level professor at Lutheran University of Brazil for more than ten years, teaching classes to undergraduate medical students and graduate students as well. He is also an advisor for graduate students, and has published a number of articles in scientific journals. After years making information available to a restricted public by means of classes and scientific publications, he believes that it is possible to simplify complex information to make it more widely available in non-academic media.
