Certa vez, vi pela internet um vídeo que mostrava um indiano de turbante, supostamente um homem sábio, dizer que, para a realização da jornada pessoal, bastava sentar-se e ficar quieto, em silêncio. Mas... honestamente, quem consegue?
Acabei fazendo o contrário da orientação sugerida por aquele homem ‒ que parecia ser um profundo conhecedor da natureza humana ¬‒ e comprei uma passagem só de ida para o outro lado do mundo. De lá, iniciei uma viagem de mochila passando por diversas culturas e diferentes metafísicas espirituais. Sentia que era meu caminho e que aquela jornada insólita tinha um propósito e lastro na realidade. Precisava encontrar respostas para perguntas inquietantes, como: Por que o coelho nunca alcança a cenoura? Ou seja, por que o vazio que sentimos nunca é preenchido?
Mesmo não sendo fácil largar praticamente tudo e arriscar muito, fui.
Ao mergulhar na experiência de conviver com diferentes povos, tribos e tradições, percebi que, é nas profundezas dos olhos humanos, e por debaixo das nossas marcantes diferenças físicas e culturais, onde está escondido o segredo de nossa natureza mais bonita, luminosa e profunda: a de semelhança. As pessoas foi o que encontrei de mais extraordinário e valioso na viagem. Somos semelhantes e, ao mesmo tempo, somos únicos. É um paradoxo de difícil compreensão.
No livro, compartilharei minhas experiências e percepções, mas adianto uma das importantes descobertas que fiz: a quietude e o silêncio são, de fato, fundamentais.
