For Cristina Maya Caetano, art in general is freedom and joy of the soul.
She is writer, a plastic artist, an illustrator and a poet.
Cristina loves writing and her favorite subjects are child's imagination and human emotions. Fairy tales, chronicles, poetry and novels appear in her work. Painting and Illustration emerge naturally from her writing. Usually her oil paintings were born from poems that she created and to which she gaves a breath of self-existence. All her stories are also illustrated by her. She created the collection Fadinha Lótus (Little Fairy Lotus); Cristina makes her presentations in schools with music and puppets, which represent the characters she created.
Cristina Maya Caetano is Portuguese, born in Angola, lived in Mozambique for some years and presently lives in Portugal in the city of Aveiro. Cristina has a BSc in Regional and Urban Planning, a Master Degree in African Studies and Post-Graduation in European and Communitary Studies. Cristina attended Courses as Monitor of Decorative Arts and she has education in Illustration storytellers, theater, and she also participated in a film.
