Jen has a passion for travel - which started way before living in Nigeria and the Falkland Islands.

In the 60's, her parents drove to Italy and after seeing the leaning tower of Pisa, it seems that Jen is hooked on travel. Jen has travelled extensively in Europe and is making time for travels in her UK home, accompanied by her tipi and cocker spaniel dog, Bruno.

My Falkland Islands Life is Jen's first travel book about her adventures, but she hopes it's not her last!

I absolutely loved this book! I am reading several 'how to' books on various subjects, but it's not always exactly what you are looking for. This book however was exactly what I was looking for. Easy to read, I made tons of notes and it is exteremely helpful in the way I'm setting up my what's going to be my first cookbook. Thank you to the writer!

This book is an easy, quick read with precise directions and experience-driven advice on creating a cookbook, marketing it, and profitng from it.

There were several typos and errors in the book, but I overlooked them because they did not detract from the facts I was hoping to learn from this book. The typos reminded me of the need for an extra pair of eyes when editing; I often find it hard to edit my work. The author seemed extremely helpful, sharing her knowledge from her own experience.

There were numerous insider hints that I would never have known without this book. I am thankful to have had it as a resource, for sure!

Acquired some good information from the book. Author does give some idea of how to write and publish I wish there was more detail but again it’s pretty good considering the price.

This book has me steered in the "write" direction. It is the perfect guide for a beginner. It will also serve as a point of reference.

Full of enlightening information on the basics of self-publishing a recipe book on Amazon. I can’t wait to get started.

Unless you know nothing about the internet and basic writing on a computer this book will not teach you much. I am completely disappointed. The book starts out with inspiration and enough excitement to motivate but then becomes very generalized with no true direction on how to write an publish a cookbook.

It does describe how to come to a decision on what type of cookbook you might want to write and gives vague ideas on how to get to that point citing examples that are so extreme that few cooks would be able to develop a cookbook given such a narrow topic. In my opinion the idea to publish a cookbook, for most people, comes about for many reasons most of all not a very narrow topic but rather the love of food, creativity with cooking, family loved recipes or an expertise in a certain area of cooking. Once this topic has been discussed the book goes on to describe testing and retesting of recipes - an obvious I would hope.

Cookbooks are very detailed oriented with regards to formatting and Kindle books require a specific type of formatting - this a critical step in the publishing process yet it is not discussed at all. Beyond stating to test and retest recipes - which any cook worth anything should know, there is no direction on how to get recipes from Word to Kindle. This is critical - for if you decide to set up word in a logical manner with formatting thinking, "I am thinking ahead here", it may be totally wrong after typing a hundred recipes!!!!! And this is not discussed!!!! A funny side note - the book tells you to proof recipes and yet this book has obvious spelling errors!

The book states that your cookbook can be done on a shoestring budget - and while that is probably true there is no help to get you to that point and then the book goes on to say how you should think about spending more money on the cover, indexing, etc. Vague and contradictory with no direction.

All in all, the book does not give you the how's of how to get there. I rarely give a review and less often a poor review. This book will not be of much help unless you do are thinking of doing this on a whim with no knowledge at all, in which case you are probably not ready to write a cookbook by yourself.
